Christmas is around the Corner
Okay, Christmas is around the corner. I've done pretty good these last couple of weeks. I love those last minute shoppers! I went months without hardly selling anything. About a month and a half before Christmas I made a decision to change how I do things in my Etsy shop KirasCreations. For months I sat back and waited for people to come to me. I didn't promote, I just waited. One day a light went off in my head. Ding Ding! I started promoting. To promote I post in the forums on etsy every day and as much as possible. I made this blog and joined the photosharing site flickr.com. By doing this I was able to get those Christmas sales. My kids got what they wanted for Christmas thanks to my promoting. If your a new etsy seller, remember, the most important thing you can do is get your name out there and keep it there. Anyway here is something new to look at. Talk to you later! Thanks for visiting!

Hi, I've been Busy!!
It's been very busy lately. I've sold quite a few items on etsy lately so I've been busy packaging and getting things shipped. Also, ttying to find time to put out new items. I mailed out 4 packages yesterday. Here is a new item to look at! I love it! I used this pretty dichroic pendant and glass beads. I also used sterling silver wire throughout including the wire used to wrap pendant. If you love blue, this one is for you! http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=8387196
Bye for now!

My New Etsy Shop

About a week ago I set up a new Etsy shop. I am dedicating it strictly to wire jewelry. I call it High Wired. I love the name! If interested visit it at HighWired.etsy.com. Sold my first item on High Wired on the 2nd. It is a sterling silver chain maille bracelet. I featured it on here. It is beautiful! I was so tempted to keep it. I figured if it didn't sell the first time around I would keep it. Oh Well! I am happy someone else will get to show it off! This necklace shown is another beautiful chain maille item from High Wired.

Hi Ya'll
It's been a few days. I haven't done much in the way of beading. Went to the World's Largest Christmas bizarre yesterday and got some AWESOME deals on beads. I bought some xmas presents for my kids, some wonderful smelling soap, and more. Today I listed this necklace. It's simple yet very adorable. Here is the link: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=8243181
Bye!

Check this out
Today was a day of ups and downs. Started on a charm bracelet. Hopefully I will get to show you come tomorrow. Today is the first day that I haven't sold a thing. Also, opened up a second etsy shop titled HighWired. Only have two things listed right now. Still worth looking at. Visit it at HighWired.etsy.com. This item below is from High Wired. I used sterling silver wire to make this one. The clasp is a sterling silver lobster style. This one is a looker!

Advice for New Etsy Sellers
Here is some advice for you new sellers. I have only learned these things recently. This has come from trial and error.
1. Clear closeup pictures are super important. People who purchase on etsy want to see closeup, detailed pictures. Otherwise your items will sit with no sale. (I learned this one the hard way!)
2. Post frequently to the forums. (I think this is why I have made a sale everyday since the 24th of November.)
3. Try for a showcase or treasury. Try often. They are hard to get, but don't give up.
4. Promote by setting up a blog at blogger.com, open a flickr account, make business cards and hand them out to everyone. Add your etsy mini to your myspace and everywhere else possible.
5. Put your name and shop anywhere on etsy you possibly can and as often as possible.
6. Learn from other sellers. People who have been with etsy can be life savers. Go to the forums and don't be afraid to ask for help.
7. Make sure your shipping and payment options are clearly stated.
8. This is most important. HAVE FUN!!

Just Listed on Etsy
I just listed this ring on etsy. Copper is my favorite wire to work with. Not just because it is less expensive than gold and silver. I love the beauty of it. It looks beautiful when shiny and beautiful when oxydized. This ring was made with 16 gauge. I hammered the crap out of it and just started twisting. I didn't really have an exact design in mind. I knew I wanted a copper ring, just went with it. Here is the link if your interested in buying this beautiful ring.
Finished School for the Winter
I am so happy! Fall Quarter work has ended! Just finished my last assignment today. I am still having second thoughts about being a teacher. We'll see. Now that the quarter is over I will have all winter to ramp up my jewelry making. Here is a pretty charm bracelet I have for sale on etsy right now. I sold a pretty charm bracelet a few days ago. This one has pretty blue colors and lots of charms.

Love These Earrings
This is one of my favorite items listed on etsy. I purchased these large chalcedony briolettes online. They are large and very pretty. One of my favorite things to do is make this litttle spirals. I used sterling silver for these. I am hoping to find time later on today to finish a copper chain maille necklace I've been working on. Unfortunately I have a research paper to finish for school. Yuck! Talk to ya later!

I am so happy! I sold a pair of earrings on etsy today. This is my fourth item in about two days. I went a long time without selling and realized I must have been doing something wrong. I have been working tirelessly on my pictures and posting nonstop to the etsy forums. These two things seemed to have helped. Any other etsy sellers out there? I would love to hear from you! Here is one of my newer listings on etsy. Interested? Here is the link: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=8054381
